Falling Into Fall

I'm falling into Fall with an open mind and heart. This season reminds us to bring balance into our life and to strengthen our inner resources as we prepare for the dark of the Winter. As we attune to this season it is a wonderful time to express gratitude for all that we have planted and harvested over the last year.

I encourage you to find time today to close your eyes and drop into the sensation of gratitude. List all and whom you are grateful for, let animosity and fear of the unknown go and welcome in both the light and dark gifts that presented themselves this year. Join me in falling into Fall with a wide open heart and remembrance for all that we have grown through. I guarantee this process will offer you a soft landing and space for reflection. I love you!

The Life You Were Meant to Live

This month I am sharing an excerpt from a piece I wrote during a soul writing experience at Palomar Farm.

Remember this. You are powerful beyond measure. You have come during this time and space to help humanity unleash it's potential.

There is no longer time nor space to live from a place of scarcity, to love your neighbor more than yourself and follow the crowd without questioning the direction.

You were born into greatness and it is time to unleash your heart's desire, both courageously and compassionately.

Question everything and live from a place of curiosity. It is time to call forth your greatest expression of self.

To live a life not dictated by what and how everyone else is doing it, but by your way of being.

Shatter past stories and step into the life you were meant to live.

Love,

Jen

Celebrate the Breath of Spring

Happy Spring! I love this season because I see new life forming right before my eyes! The buds on the trees are beginning to bloom and the green pastures go on for miles. Creation is right outside of us and within us.

I encourage you to take a moment today to step outside, close your eyes, take a deep breath, hold it inside and then exhale. Witness the sensations within you. Visualize the rejuvenation of your cells, the space created within the body and the clarity in your mind.

The power of our life force moves us beyond time and space. We often forget that our prana is waiting to be freed and the practice of pranayama (breath exercise) is the key to unlock our unlimited potential. Our breath is the entryway into both the conscious and unconscious mind, it is a tool for both deep release, healing and renewal.

I invite you to celebrate the beauty and bounty of your own breath. It is as magnificent as the sights and sounds of Spring.

Jen

Love Yourself!

I am looking forward to celebrating love this month during our family gatherings and with my community offerings. Love is a transformational force and should be recognized as such. I feel confident that when the power of love overtakes the love of power the world will change. In order to make this massive shift, we as a society must first begin with showering ourselves with LOVE. The kind that has no conditions attached. The kind that reminds us that we are worthy. We are enough. We are lovable.

As Yung Pueblo so poetically shares, "You. You are the key. Heal yourself, know yourself, make yourself whole and free. Release all limits so that your love can flow unconditionally for yourself and the world. This will open the heaven of your heart and it will guide you without fail."

I encourage you to go out and radically love yourself today. Ask yourself, how can I love myself up? Start with a hot bath, a deep meditation, a walk in nature, a journal entry or a delicious meal. You deserve all of it.

Love,

Jen

Manifesting Miracles & Creating Abundance

Manifesting Miracles & Creating Abundance

Wow, is it September already? What a journey the last 5.5 months has been. I've learned so much about myself, our family, and how I want to live. At the beginning of the year, I set an intention to go away on a solo retreat, to relax and renew. If you had asked me in January, I never would have guessed that the universe would answer my prayer by locking me into our home, the place I was asking to have a break from. In the beginning, it all felt like a cosmic joke but within a month, I realized I was granted an everyday miracle

Gratitude Changes Everything

Gratitude Changes Everything

As we take a moment every day to stop, pause, and list all that we are thankful for in our life our attitude automatically changes and we begin to see the goodness in our lives. Before our eyes exist a life full of possibilities. We are GREAT and FULL and have so much to be thankful for. Numerous research studies have been conducted on how gratitude, which I believe is an open door to awareness can help build a healthy immune system and enhance overall wellbeing. Did you know that grateful people are:

Butterfly Transformations

Butterfly Transformations

It was 1995. She was 18 and had just graduated from high school. She was thrilled when she received the call that she had gotten the job as a camp counselor for the Boys and Girls Club. She along with a diverse team of college-aged students were charged with taking elementary-aged kids on 3-day overnight camping trips during the week. The majority of the children were African American.
