Perspective & Clarity for the New Decade

2020 is upon us and I am flooded with intense feelings of gratitude.  I met my husband in June 2010 and it seems we have been rolling at the speed of light since that destined mountain top encounter at 3HO's Summer Solstice.  We came together with a shared curiosity about life and all its possibilities and almost 10 years later have explored all we were given with a vengeance, leaving not a drop of unlived life behind us.  All our adventures have been filled with a combination of grit and grace, love and fear, clarity as well as doubt.  I have so much to say and so much to share but it feels more suited for a book rather than my monthly musing.  So, instead, I offer you this poetic piece from Walt Whitman.  It sums up not only our last decade but brings perspective and clarity on how we want to live every day.

"Have patience and indulgence toward the people, take off your hat to nothing known or unknown or to any man or number of men, go freely with powerful uneducated persons and with the young and with the mothers of families, read these leaves in the open air every season of every year of your life, re-examine all you have been told at school or church or in any book, dismiss whatever insults your own soul, and your very flesh shall be a great poem and have the richest fluency not only in its words but in the silent lines of its lips and face and between the lashes of your eyes and in every motion and joint of your body." -Walt Whitman

We wish you a prosperous and truth-filled 2020.  May your poem continue to evolve as your purpose on this planet is more fully realized and your dream life becomes your reality.  Happy New Year!

In Love and Gratitude,

Jennifer
